Artemis SailGP Team
Artemis SailGP is the first Swedish team to compete in the prestigious SailGP championship series. The team carries forward the legacy of innovation and success established by Artemis Racing in both the 44Cup and the America’s Cup. With its entry into SailGP, Sweden steps into a new era of top-level international racing.
The collaboration with Artemis began in 2012 and is built on shared values and a long-term commitment to sailing at the very highest level, with strong Swedish roots. As the official supplier to Artemis SailGP, we are responsible for the team’s apparel both on and off the water. Through technically advanced performance garments designed for professional racing, we help create the conditions required for world-class performance. At the same time, the partnership provides the perfect platform for continuous product development.
Behind the Swedish team is Torbjörn Törnqvist, together with CEO Iain Percy, a double Olympic gold medallist who previously served as team principal for Artemis Racing during their America’s Cup campaigns.

Artemis SailGP’s crew consists of skipper and helmsman Nathan Outteridge, flight controller Andy Maloney, wing trimmer Chris Draper, jib trimmer Brad Farrand, grinder Julius Hallström, and strategist Julia Gross. Hugo Christensson and Felicia Fernström serve as reserve crew members.
Nathan, like Iain, is a double Olympic medallist and multiple world champion. He brings extensive SailGP experience, having led the Japan SailGP Team to success during the series’ first two seasons before going on to coach the Swiss team. His relationship with Artemis dates back to 2012 and their America’s Cup campaigns.
Andy joins the team following a season with the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team and several years with New Zealand’s Black Foils. He previously sailed alongside Nathan with Emirates Team New Zealand when they won the America’s Cup in 2024.
Chris is an Olympic medallist with extensive SailGP experience, having held key roles in several top teams since the series began. Like Andy, he has also sailed with Nathan aboard Emirates Team New Zealand during their victorious America’s Cup campaign in 2024.
Brad was born and raised in New Zealand but has lived in Gothenburg with his family for many years. As a registered Swedish sailor, he counts as one of the team’s three mandatory Swedish crew members. He has extensive experience in multihull sailing and joined Artemis SailGP from the Italian team. He has previously represented Artemis in the RC44 series.
Julius, originally from Stockholm, returns to Artemis after being part of the team during the Youth America’s Cup in 2017. Over four seasons with the Danish team, he has established himself as one of SailGP’s leading grinders, known for his endurance, precision, and tactical awareness.
Julia joins the team as strategist. Born and raised in Stockholm, she began sailing at an early age and has an impressive background in international elite competition. In recent years, her focus has been on foiling boats. She helmed Swedish Challenge, powered by Artemis Technologies, in the Puig Women’s America’s Cup in Barcelona in 2024 and made several guest appearances with Red Bull Italy SailGP Team during the 2025 season.
Reserves Hugo and Felicia have established themselves internationally in recent years. Both were part of Swedish Challenge, powered by Artemis Technologies, during the Youth and Women’s America’s Cup in 2024, and they have also sailed with Artemis in the 44Cup. Their inclusion reflects Artemis SailGP’s long-term commitment to strengthening Swedish sailing and creating opportunities for young talent.
