Pelle P are proud to collaborate with China Sail GP Team
China SailGP Team – a professional sports team formed in 2018 to take part in the inaugural SailGP. The global championships setting out to redefine sailing.
Bruno Dubois and skipper Phil Robertson were founding members. Bruno Dubois has a pedigree in managing cross-culture sports in China, and has amongst his successes led Dongfeng Race to victory in the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race. Dubois has been a director of Team France during the America's Cup. Phil Robertson is an experienced skipper and has won several championships such as the World Match Racing tour 2017.
Dubois and Robertson formed the rest of the team around them. The China SailGP Team comprises the country´s most accomplishments talents with some of the world´s best foiling catamaran sailors. Among the talent, there are several rising stars of Chinese sailing, such as Jinhao ´Horance´ Chen and Liu ´Black´ Xue. Completing the multicultural team are accomplished sailors, Ed Powys (Great Britain), Thomas Le Breton (France) and Wierzbowski (Australia).
With the mandate to build a 100 percent Chinese Team by SailGP Season 4, the team is launching a youth development foiling academy to cultivate the future on high-performance sailing in China.
SailGP is a brand new global sailing championship, created by Larry Ellison and Russell Coutts. Six rival nations going head to head in the worlds most technologically advanced race boats – the F50. Designed to reach speeds of over 50kts.
